    The Interim Human Resources Coordinator (initially 10 month contract) for Europe is responsible for HR administration, HR generalist and employee relations support. This role reports to the Human Resources Director and is based in our London office.  


    Human Resources Generalist: Own all HR administration for Corporate and Retail employees and act as first line support to employees on all HR queries, providing sound and articulate advice and escalating issues to HR Director.


    • Input employee starter and leaver information into the internal data base for all European countries and circulate corporate starter/leaver data on a weekly basis
    • Send a ‘welcome’ email and documentation to new hires, to include arrangements for their first day of employment
    • Using template documents populate and issue Offer letters, Contracts of Employment, Change letters and Leaver documentation
    • Liaise with the Payroll department to communicate any variable pay elements and collect relevant paperwork (absence, overtime, leaver form etc.)
    • Regularly audit employee data and electronic files to ensure the accuracy of information held and compliance with Data Protection and Right to Work regulations. Run ad-hoc reports as requested
    • Prepare monthly key HR metrics
    • Support with HR projects across Europe in line with Kate Spade’s global HR vision
    • Support with key annual processes such as the annual performance review process


    Employee Relations:


    • Manage Employee Relations matters in compliance with local legislation and HR best practice
    • Track and monitor the probationary review process
    • Responsible for all family based cases (maternity, paternity and shared parental leave), with ownership for liaising with the individual, providing advice and guidance, creating relevant paperwork and accurate recording in the HR system for Payroll
    • Attend formal meetings as the HR Representative in the capacity of note-taker and create the relevant paperwork (invite and outcome letters)



    • 1-2 years of experience in a fast paced Human Resources department (ideally retail based)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with employees at all levels
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Prior experience with people systems
    • A positive ‘can do’ attitude, strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to work
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to work independently and using own initiative
    • Basic knowledge of current UK employment law
    • Open to the role being covered on a full time or part time basis
