    role description

    • Develop and manage UK brand media & influencers relations strategy.

    • Increase overall Company, brand and product visibility through media & influencers as well as wholesale partners. Coverage to support each of our 3 European focus Categories: RTW, HB/ SLG & Jewellry.

    • Work collaboratively with UK and NY teams.

    • Critically evaluate and challenge our existing approach to improve/ refine.

    • Manage European PR requests outside of France & Germany.

    strategic development

    • Work with the Global VP of Public Relations to develop and execute an intergrated PR strategy to build awareness for, and further position Kate Spade New York on the UK market:

    • Work to establish credibility and maximise visibility for all category pillars across a diverse range of media outlets.

    • Work to ensure all media placements reflect acurate message pull through and brand POV.

    • Work to define calendar of actions, events and partnerships with influencers to further expose the brand in the UK/ IR markets.

    media outreach

    • Manage PR efforts to ensure we are maximising all angles for each opportunity/ event and achieving optimal results through strategic outreach.

    • Conduct high-level proactive outreach (features, news, director-level media contacts in fashion and lifestyle print, digital and broadcast media).

    • Explore new opportunities and outlets, facilitate opportunities for executives to develop relationships with key editors/ reporters.

    • Leverage internal spokespersons to tell Company story.

    • Manage executive speaking opportunities (idenify and provide recommendations on platforms and prepare speakers).

    • Continue to build platforms for executives through  selective, appropriate opportunities.

    • Prep execs for all speaking opps (internal and external) to ensure consistency and successful delivery. 


    skills and abilities required:

    • strong merchandise presentation skills that support high-volume and flagship stores.

    • capacity to identify challenges and develop solution the visual merchandising opportunities.

    • strong strategic planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize deadlines.

    • detail oriented with an entrepreneurial disposition.

    • high-level leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively and graciously with all levels within the organization, including strength in presentation skills.

    • comfortable and confident in making effective and autonomous decisions in a professional and timely manner.

    • stay abreast of the latest fashion, environmental and interior trends.

    • ability to manage personal travel, entertainment budgets and calendars.

    education and experience required:

    • 6-8 years public relations management experience in the fashion and/or creative industries (agency experience a plus).

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Proven experience in corporate and spokesperson message development.

    • Strong understanding of brand aesthetics and market place.

    • Detail oriented proactive ability to multi task and prioritize.

    • Experience developing and overseeing the successful execution of strategic communications programs.

    • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to effectively communicte in Kate Spade New York unique voice.

    • Bacherlor's Degree Preferred.
