    Responsibilities

    • Responsibilities:

       

      SEASONAL/AD HOC

        • Range planning - develop seasonal distribution strategy and OTB budgets for all directly operated channels with planning partner.
        • Merchandising strategy – define Good/Better/Best product strategies, pricing and line architecture to translate in DTC and wholesale channels.
        • Seasonal Product Hind sighting - presentations to Global Corporate Merchandising and Wholesale. Influence Global Line Architecture design to meet Europe business needs.
        • Seasonal buys (NYC) – directly responsible for buying and quantifying RTW, Handbags, SLGs and licensed categories the directly operated channels (Specialty and outlet).
        • Wholesale assortments - define and influence tiered assortments across all categories
        • Wholesale Samples – manage selection & order process for direct and partner showrooms
        • Manage lifecycle of FP products - through strategic stock rotations, transfers or flow to Outlet
        • Store productivity reviews – incl. sales/sq. foot density, capacity, fixturing, SKU productivity and customer profile
        • New Store Openings - planning stock strategy and packages with VM, Retail and Planning
        • Seasonal investment presentations - to Retail Store Managers and Ecom/Marketing teams
    • Licensing Categories - In partnership with planning lead in season meetings with licensee to understand and guide assortment strategy, pricing etc…
      • Markdowns – in partnership with planning, recommend mark down strategy.
      • Competitive Research – undertake regular comp shops to review landscape pricing, ranges, signage and product offer. Communicate to Corporate Merchandising the Europe product needs and act as needed
      • Buying Matrixcreate matrixes and cheat sheets to communicate Big Ideas to Creative and Marketing (Corporate)

           
      • MONTHLY
      •  Floorset mapping - by Door with Visual Merchandising and Retail, to ensure Global Key Directives are aligned to
      • Store Comms – product monthly deck for Stores, sharing key investments, early product launches and stock risks
      • Monthly Meetings - EOM hindsight and action meetings with Ecom Trading, Retail and Wholesale
      • Store Visits – Carry out monthly store visits.   Communicate feedback/actions to all partners
      • International sales performance – review China, EMEA sales monthly and communicate EU opportunities to VM/Retail and stores. Respond to traffic and tourism trends

     

    • WEEKLY
    • Reporting – in partnership with planning analysis of previous week’s trade and present actions to partners in WSRM
    • Team Management – weekly Buying meetings to prioritize action and workload for the week
    • Outlet promotions – in partnership with planning review promotional and pricing strategy

    Qualifications

    skills and abilities required:

    • Minimum 8 years buying management experience
    • Highly commercial, numerate and analytical
    • Management/ supervisory experience a must

    • Knowledge of the fashion or accessories luxury goods market Experience of working with a global company/brand
